Shiba Inu Adoption Process
Step by Step Guide
Important Notice About Our Puppies
***APPLICATION AT THE BOTTOM***
We want to make it clear to all our valued clients and potential new families
No Application Fees
We have never charged an application fee for any of our puppies. Please apply only if you’re serious about adopting a Shiba Inu for your family.
No Advance Holding Fees Without Meeting
We do not ask for any fees to reserve or hold a puppy unless the potential new family has met us in person and also met their chosen puppy.
Research and Self-Assessment
Before beginning the application process be sure you’ve done your research on the Shiba Inu breed. Understand their temperament, care requirements, and exercise needs. This will help you determine if a Shiba is the right fit for your home and lifestyle.
Complete the Adoption Application Form
Complete the 'Shiba Inu Adoption Application'.
Fill out all required fields, providing accurate and detailed information.
Submit the application.
Application Review
We will review your application, assessing if your home environment and preferences align with the needs of a Shiba Inu.
This process might take a few days. Your patience is appreciated!
Initial Contact
After reviewing your application, we will get in touch with you. This might be via phone or email.
During this communication, we will address any queries or concerns you might have and provide feedback on your application.
Home Visit or Virtual Tour (if required)
Some adoptions may require a home visit or a virtual tour to ensure a safe and appropriate environment for the dog.
This helps us ensure that your home is ready to welcome a Shiba Inu.
Meet & Greet
If your application is approved, we will schedule a time for you to meet available Shiba Inus.
This is a great opportunity for you to interact with the dog and see if there's a mutual connection.
Finalize the Adoption
Once you've chosen your new furry family member, there will be an adoption agreement and a spay or neuter agreement to sign.
Puppy must be paid in full before leaving our care. (We aren’t in a position to accept payments.)
Bringing Your Shiba Home
Prepare your home with all necessary supplies like food, water bowl, toys, bed, etc.
Introduce your Shiba slowly to other family members and pets, giving them time to adjust to their new environment.
Post-Adoption Support
We are always here for you, even after the adoption is complete. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
We might periodically check in with you to see how your Shiba Inu is adjusting to its new home.
Remember, adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment. We are grateful for responsible and loving adopters like you who provide forever homes to these wonderful dogs.
Welcome to the Shiba Inu family!
